ERP-migration leading to innovation loss

Problem statement

Mid sized company operating in a fast-growing and competitive market was losing ground. The culprit? A costly, multi-year systems migration that consumed resources, stalled innovation and left a substantial investment with limited ROI. Management knew something was wrong. What they didn’t have was a clear picture of what to fix, or the confidence that fixing it was even possible without disrupting everything else.

our approach

We started with a focused assessment. In three weeks, we identified 30 high probability risks across the programme, validated those findings through an independent third-party review, and presented leadership with a concrete transformation roadmap.

Then we did the work. We set up and led transformation streams across the core dimensions of the business, reporting directly to the CEO. We redesigned the operating model around domain and business capabilities. We stripped back the technical landscape, retaining only what was genuinely strategic, and differentiating. And we helped the leadership team reconnect the company’s strategy to its operational and technology choices.

THE RESULT

When we handed over to the CEO, CTO and COO, the company had a clear long-term roadmap, a leaner technology state, and the internal capability to keep moving without us.
